I was in the Derawan area last June and I’m intending to do research there in the near future. Can you please explain the research permit costs and processing times to me? Cheers- Zak

This is quite a tedious process. I’m working on my permit for almost 5 months now and I’m now at the point of waiting for approval to go to Indonesia. I don’t know the exact cost and processing times yet but I will update this site if I have more information. The research application has to be send through ristek (http://ristek.go.id/index.php?mod=File&conf=frame&abs=1&file=file_upload/lain_lain/frp/frp.htm).
