PhD student

Research focus:

  • PhD project: Impact of sea turtle grazing on sediment carbon dynamics in seagrass ecosystems, including organic carbon erosion, carbon emissions, and carbon sequestration capacity.
  • Seagrass monitoring in Indonesia
  • Seagrass function as blue carbon ecosystem, including carbon stock on sediment and biomass.

Finalized projects (in Indonesia): seagrass monitoring through the COREMAP-CTI project , Blue carbon in seagrass ecosystems through the SEACOPS (Indonesia – Australia) project.

Motivation:

I am motivated to conduct research on marine ecology to fill knowledge gaps, particularly in understudied seagrass ecosystems, and to contribute to their effective management and conservation efforts.
