Research focuses:
– PhD project: Impact of sea turtle grazing on sediment carbon dynamics in seagrass ecosystems, including organic carbon erosion, carbon emissions, and carbon sequestration capacity.
– Seagrass monitoring in Indonesia
– Seagrass function as blue carbon ecosystem, including carbon stock on sediment and biomass.
Motivation:
I am motivated to conduct research on marine ecology to fill knowledge gaps, particularly in understudied seagrass ecosystems, and to contribute to their effective management and conservation efforts.
Keywords:
seagrass ecosystems, carbon dynamic, sea turtles, landscape configuration.
Methods:
field sampling and experiments on ecosystem structure and functions, greenhouse gas measurement, carbon analysis in seagrass and sediment.
Research Locations:
Indonesia (Phd project: Belitung, Kapoosang Island, and Derawan Island).
